Editor Toolbar Models
Most models are used to approximate transmitter emission bandwidths. Other models include receiver sensitivity and image rejection calculations, satellite power flux density, radiation hazard, and noise figure/temperature conversion.
1. Models are accessed under the Tools menu within the toolbar:

2. Select a specific model from the drop down menu:

3. After a specific model has been selected, the tool screen for that model will appear. The model tool screen contains the following features identified in the image below:

- Model Identification: Identifies the model being used.
- Calculation Input Fields: Information must be entered into each field to support the calculation. Note that for some fields units can be changed.
- Calculate Button: After each input field has been populated and the units are confirmed, click the calculate button to produce the model output.
- Numerical Results: After the Calculate button has been selected, displays the output values for relevant items such as specific bandwidth measurements, based on the calculation input fields.
- Graphical Results: After the Calculate button has been selected, displays graphical results based on the calculation input fields, as depicted in the image below. To use a logarithmic scale for the x-axis, click on the
box.

When you are finished performing modeling functions, select the button to return to the main Editor screen.
If the calculate button is selected without the user having first entered values for all calculation fields, the Editor generates a warning message reminding the user that values must be entered for all fields before the model will produce modeling output.
